Prop Dylan

Prop Dylan is a Swedish native that started his carrier in the late nineties with his group Ragin Goblins.   They started to make noise releasing demos on the independent label: Catapults Ent. After several years of touring around Sweden they got a deal with the swedish hip-hop label PayPerBag Records. In 2004 they released their first album entitled Travelling Freakshow which sold well for being an underground act in Sweden.   Prop Dylan went on a solo-tip to try out new territories. He started to change his style inspired by artists such as Gangstarr, Big L and other east coast artists from the Us. In 2005, Prop decided to work on a solo album. Many high profile producers from Sweden & US were involved in the project. After touring for two years in the whole of Scandinavia Prop Dylan released his solo album: A Garbage Pail Kid on Catapults Ent. The album was embraced by Swedish media and he was soon titled as one of the best english spoken rappers in Scandinavia by Kingsize Magazine.   In 2008 Prop met success in Europe after touring the whole year. During the European Football championships 2008 Prop had his song "Go get it" broadcast being heard by millions of people. Shortly after that the song was picked out to be part of Peugeots broadcasting in national TV during the fall of 2008. In december 2008 he was nominated to receive honorable Rockbjörnen prize in Sweden.   After touring in Europe, Central America and Scandinavia Prop released his second solo album in May 2009. The album was well received in Europe and Prop started to get offers from the US about the use of his songs in movies, resulting in songs from both A Garbage Pail Kid & Crossing the Bridge reaching new fans all over the world as a result.   In May 2010 Prop was contacted by the legendary producer DJ Premier who had handpicked Prop as one of very few from Europe to work with him. The collaboration ended up in a recording session in Headqcourterz studios in New York city. The single "Shock & Amaze" was released in June 2011 and has been celebrated as one of DJ Premiers best productions during that year. During the Peace & Love festival this year Prop got rewarded with a gold plaque for selling over 10.000 units of his second album "Crossing The Bridge". The very same album has reached over 6 million hits on Spotify as an independent release.
