Slippy
Florida based Producer/DJ Slippy, aka Alex Swartwout began releasing music with Monstercat in 2015 under the name Slips & Slurs. However, Swartwout’s musical experience began much earlier with piano lessons at age 8. These lessons quickly led Swartwout to become interested in other instruments such as bass, guitar, and eventually percussion, which he has continued with to the collegiate level. While Swartwout holds skill in multiple instruments, it was production where he felt his creativity could truly shine. Swartwout is currently maintaining his career in production while pursing a degree in Commercial Music at Florida State University. During this time he has worked with acts such as Stonebank, Rogue, Goja, and Harry Shotta, and his productions have received support from notable names like Excision, Seven Lions, NGHTMRE, Martin Garrix, and R3HAB. On top of this, his song “Flow” was recently featured in Psyonix's popular game Rocket League in partnership with Monstercat Uncaged. With much in the works for the remainder of 2018 and beyond, Swartwout shows no signs of slowing down.
