Sonora

Sonora is a producer known for his Latin/global music mixes. Hailing from San Antonio, TX he began working with Orion Garcia of the Austin TX based Peligrosa Collective in 2010. Since then, he's found ways to bring disparate musical genres together in his remixes for artists such as Zuzuka Poderosa, Los Rakas, Chingo Bling, Diplo, Ana Tijoux and Lana Del Rey. Sonora is currently leading and organizing the launch as the A&R for Peligrosa's new label "Discos Peligrosa" as well as prepping his EP set to release in December 2014. Sonora has accomplished a series of projects with global artists, one being for his “Remezcla” EP series where he takes on remixing and recording with carioca bass diva Zuzuka Poderosa. The album was reviewed by MTV stating: “her souped-up Brazilian chatter collides head-on with Sonora’s Latin-flavored bass. As you might imagine, sparks fly everywhere and stuff catches on fire.” “Sonora found a way of taking those songs and making them more articulate.
