Lewis
Enigmatic mononymous Canadian artist Lewis is known for his sole 1983 album, L'Amour. Originally discovered in an Edmonton, Alberta flea market and shared online by rare LP enthusiasts, L'Amour is a spare pop album of synth and acoustic guitar featuring Lewis' half-lidded, Bryan Ferry-esque croon. The album became something of an Internet phenomenon and resulted in wild speculation as to who Lewis was and what became of him. Purportedly, Lewis was in actuality a stockbroker named Randall Wulff, who may have recorded several more albums as Lewis. In 2014, L'Amour was reissued on Light in the Attic Records.(by Matt Collar)
