Jennifer Ewbank
Jennifer Ewbank (now 24) has been singing since before she could count! With 'The Little Mermaid' as an example she started taking piano-lessons at the age of 9. After that, singing classes followed swiftly by well-known opera singer Willy Caron. Besides this, she also wanted to record her own music and learn the techniques of running a sound studio. This is why she enrolled in an education at the Soundacademy in Hilversum that was focused on the producing and mixing of music. On her debut album 'London Tree' (released 21 October 2011) the listener can clearly hear influences of one of Jennifer's hero's Eva Cassidy. Unfortunately Eva is not alive anymore but the way she could express emotions mesmerized Jennifer. The Eagles and The Beatles are also some of Jennifer's great examples. Together with her brother John Ewbank and producer Nando Eweg, Jennifer started recording her debut album in 2009. Before reaching the final stages of the recordings, Jennifer decided to participate in The Voice Of Holland. She reached the semi-finals with Nick & Simon as her coaches. After The Voice Of Holland, Jennifer re-started the recordings for her cd and worked hard to make a beautiful album with John and Nando. Her goal is to show who she really is through this album and to show her love for music. It is her wish to communicate her feelings and thoughts through the songs on her first cd. The first single of the album, 'Line In A Song', appeared on the 19th of August 2011. A stripped down version of John Lennon's 'Imagine' can be found both on 'London Tree' and 'Lady Lounge'.
