C.O.B.
C.O.B. (aka CLIVE's ORIGINAL BAND) was formed by Clive Palmer after appearing as one of the original trio of the INCREDIBLE STRING BAND (ISB), and following his departure from his own group the FAMOUS JUG BAND. C.O.B. included multi-instrumentalist John Bidwell (LAZY FARMER), percussionist Mick Bennett and THIRD EAR BAND's cellist Ursula Smith along with guest appearances from the likes of folk singer-songwriters RALPH MCTELL and DANNY THOMPSON. The band released two studio albums before Palmer disbanded them. Aside from the 1978 solo album 'Just Me' and a few guest appearances, Palmer would largely disappear from the music scene until he reemerged with ROBIN WILLIAMSON in a brief 1999 revival of ISB.
